一次精通介系詞 at！（中）1.表示時間、年齡的 at

1.The meeting starts at 9:00.
(會議九點開始。)
2. I’m free at night.
(我晚上有空。)
4.Let’s have a party at Christmas.
(咱們耶誕節辦個派對吧。)
4. Come at the beginning of the month.
(月初的時候來。)
5.My grandmother died at the age of eighty.
(我祖母八十歲時亡故。)
時間上的「一點」，是指時間與年齡上的某「一個點」。
在例句三中，時間若改為 Christmas Day 介係詞則須用 on，即 on Christmas Day。
在時間方面，區分at、in和on的基本規則，請先在本處認識清楚。

注意，表示晚間，如果用的是 night，介係詞則須用 at。
另外，表示非特定、一般性的早晨、午後、晚上等，介係詞用 in，如：in the morning，in the afternoon；但如果是特定的早晨、午後、晚上或有形容詞修飾的時候，則須使用on，如：on the morning of September 1st、on a cold night。
2 表示方向的 at
1. Look at that star.
（你看那顆星。）
2. He threw a stone at the dog.
（他對那隻狗丟了塊石頭。）
3. He shot at the deer.
（他瞄準那隻鹿射擊。）

At 可用來表示行動的目標，有「對著……、瞄準……」的意味。常與介系詞 at 連用的動詞還有point、aim、stare等。
例句二如果將 at 換成 to，即 to the dog，就只單純表現出方向而已。
例句三有沒有at會改變整句意思。He shot the deer. 的意思是「他射殺了這隻鹿。」。
3.表示所屬的 at
I’m a student at Tokyo University.
（我是東京大學的學生。）

At 可表示「……的」所屬之意。「……的」是中文的常用語法，但是請注意要表達此意英語別寫成 a student of…。
4.表示從事、狀態的at
1. Brian is at lunch.
（布萊恩正在用午餐。）
2. She seemed at a loss.
（她看起來似乎不知所措。）

At可表示從事何種事務的狀態，有「正在……或……中」的意思。
例句一就是 “Brian is eating lunch.” 的意思。類似用法還包括：
at table「用餐中」
at school「在學中、上課中」
at work「工作中」
at play「遊戲中」
at rest「休息中」
