　我……發生一件好玩的事。

•Do you remember sb.? 　
　你記得……嗎？
例　Do you remember that guy I told you about last week?　
　　 你記得我上週跟你說過的那個人嗎？
　　 Do you remember Mary, that woman who used to work here?　
　　 你記得瑪麗嗎？以前在這裡工作的那個女人？
•Have you heard (about) what happened to sb.? 　
你有沒有聽說……發生了什麼事？　
例　Have you heard what happened to Mike?　
　　 你有沒有聽說麥克發生了什麼事？
　　 Have you heard about what happened to the boss last night?　
　　 你有沒有聽說老闆昨發生了什麼事？
•Have you seen n.p.? 　
你有看過……嗎？　
例　Have you seen Angelina’s new baby?　
　　 你有看過安潔莉娜的新寶寶嗎？
　　 Have you seen the new Spider-Man movie?　
　　 你有看過那部新的蜘蛛人電影嗎？
•Have you read n.p.? 　
你有看過……嗎？　
例　Have you read that book I lent you yet?　
　　 你看了我借你的那本書沒？

教父小叮嚀
．Have you heard the one about …? 中的 The one 指的是 the joke。這個字串是用來介紹笑話。
．It’s about this …. 是用來談論電影或書本的內容。
2. 重回先前的談話
•So as I was saying, …. 　
所以就像我剛才說的，……。
例　So as I was saying, he looked through the guy’s wallet.　
　　 所以就像我剛才說的，他檢查一遍那個人的皮夾。
　　 So as I was saying, it was getting colder and colder up there on the roof.　
　　 所以就像我剛才說的，屋頂上面變得愈來愈冷。
•Where was I? Oh yes, …. 　
我說到哪兒了？喔，對了，……。　
例　Where was I? Oh yes, he looked through the wallet and guess what he found?　
　　 我說到哪兒了？喔，對了，他檢查了一遍那個皮夾，猜猜他找到什麼？
　　 Where was I? Oh yes, the car was also locked!　
　　 我說到哪兒了？喔，對了，車子也鎖上了！
